Sports GT
The ‘big boys’ will come out to play in our new Sports GT category this season. This is the place for any MotorSport NZ compliant saloon car to compete at the top level of competition at any or all six rounds of the championship series.
Expect to see the class characterised by fast sports cars, space framed Trans Am type rockets, V8 Supercars and Porsche GT3 Cup cars which previously had their own racing class. This class is all about the fastest cars creating great racing and variety.
Production GT
Production GT has its roots in the former Production Racing Championship and is all about saloon racing cars that would have been able to be registered to drive on the roads in NZ.
So expect to see Mitsubishi Evos, Subaru Imprezas, Ford Focuses, Nissans and more battling it out on the track this summer.
